TOWN OF FORT FRANCES COUNCIL MINUTES SESSION NO. 020 August 18, 2008 The meeting of Council of the Town of Fort Frances was held in the Council Chambers, Civic Centre on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 1:20 p.m. to 1:29 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor R. Avis, Chairperson; Councillors K. Perry, G.P. Ryan and R. Wiedenhoeft. ALSO PRESENT: M. McCaig, Administrator, K. Lawson, Deputy Clerk. 1. This special meeting was called to consider resolutions emanating from a special meeting of Committee of the Whole of Council held earlier today. Council also considered a request for support of a funding application and a request to change the date of the next regular meeting of Council. 2. Resolutions: 280 Wiedenhoeft-Perry: THAT a special meeting of Council of the Town of Fort Frances be now convened and the notice provisions in sections 4. and 5. of Procedure By-Law No. 34/95 be suspended. CARRIED 281 Perry-Wiedenhoeft: THAT the letter dated August 14, 2008 from W. Derksen, Town Solicitor re: Multiplicities of Litigation be received and further that the matter proceed as directed. CARRIED 282 Wiedenhoeft-Perry: THAT the report dated August 14, 2008 from M. McCaig, CAO re: Sewer and Water – Couchiching First Nation be received and further that the matter proceed as directed. CARRIED 283 Perry-Wiedenhoeft: THAT Council support the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation application for Project No. 950252 – “The Fort Frances Technology Centre”. CARRIED 284 Perry-Wiedenhoeft: THAT the August 25th regular meeting of Council be now re-scheduled to August 28th, 2008. CARRIED 285 Wiedenhoeft-Perry: THAT this special meeting of the Council of the Town of Fort Frances be now closed. CARRIED R. Avis, Chairperson K. Lawson, Deputy Clerk
